This project was the second phase of the City of Burnaby’s arterial road construction in the south bend area.

Cutting-out and replacement of several sections of the crude oil line.

As part of the track widening program for the implementation of the West Coast Express CP Rail required that a section of grade be prepared where an abandoned oil refinery had operated up to the middle of the 1900's.

An interior berm within the 215,000 sq. foot existing reservoir was removed and replaced with a vertical Shotcrete wall supported by 40,000 Ft of soil anchors.

This project straddled two of the main taxiways in the heart of the Vancouver International Airport. The scope of work includes relocation of sand pre-load and the excavation and relocation of native material for a combined total of 600,000 c.m.

This project includes a four level underground parkade to approximately 40’ depth. Underpinning of adjacent parkade was required.
