The GVRD started upgrading the reservoirs to the new seismic codes in the 1990’s. One of the first reservoirs upgraded required the installation of DCP tiedown anchors beneath the roof of the existing reservoir in a low overhead environment. SWC now has two drilling rigs; one diesel, one electric, capable of drilling fully cased anchor holes. Height restrictions of 9’ and door widths of 40” are possible.
