SWC selected the Klemm KL104, a large German 12 ton tracked drill rig with dual rotary heads. This double head rig was designed to drill thru overburden strata more efficiently than single head type rigs.

5” F drill holes were advanced adjacent to the face of the steel sheet piles. The selected drilling techniques aimed at disturbing/loosening the native in-situ soils so could advance sheets to 80’ depth.

SWC was able to save the client money when it mobilized quickly mitigating standby charges.
